FAQ
Absolutely yes, enjoy!
Simply put it is a place where you can buy Shares in football players, very similar to buying shares in a company. The price can go up or down and this is based on other members buying or selling shares in a player.
Unlike buying shares in a company, we've made the process easy to understand and easy to use.
The skill is to predict how a player will perform.
As for features, we have only just started and we feel you are going to love it already. For example:
- Live graphs - which show how your Squad and all the other players are performing
- Live player stats - graphs showing goals, assist, passes and many more to show you how the player is performing
- Matchday vidiprinter - showing stats on live matches (goals, assist etc)
- Games - do you back your player to be the best passer or top scorer this week?!
You buy shares in a player at a price. As more shares are owned in that player the price rises, e.g. buy 100 shares and the price will go up ¢0.01 (the game currency). Likewise, sell shares and the price will go down.
The game is in real time, you can buy and sell Shares in a player at any time.
Two ways (at the moment)
- By other Members buying Shares in a player where you own Shares
- By playing and winning one of our Games
The price decreases, so keep an eye on the game.
No. Fantasy Football is very different and in our opinion not as enjoyable. If you play Fantasy Football, very quickly you will be nowhere near the top, you will get disillusioned quickly and the rest of the season you will forget about it.
Beat the Scout is completely different, you compete against your personal goals. You can join anytime and every day of the year can be important. All events can affect the share price, e.g. a player can be bought by Manchester City, a player can breaka leg.
This is a skills based game, so officially this is not gambling. The Share price of players depends on how many Shares are owned by Members. You are not betting, there is no stake and no winnings. So this is not a game of chance.
However, you are risking your money by playing the game, like a stock exchange, your Shares can go up and down in price.
FREEPLAY mode is where you can buy and sell Shares in players but the Shares cannot be cashed in and withdrawn for money. In REALPLAY you can sell your Shares in Players and withdraw the ¢ Coins (converted into your currency) into your wallet/bank account. Realplay mode is restricted to Members over 18 years old.
All Member funds are stored in a separated account. These are audited by a Committee that has representation from the Members. They check that this Member fund is sufficient to cover all Shares owned by Members. So if all Members decide to sell all there shares at the same time, don't worry, the fund has the funds to pay this.
Yes, always.
